Recap Geo.X & IUGG Early Career Scientists Summer Meeting

On July 14, 2023, approximately 80 early career scientists gathered for our Summer Meeting above the rooftops of Berlin. This year we welcomed interested early career scientists from the Geo.X Research Network and participants from the IUGG meeting 2023. We started with a scientific speed dating session, followed by relaxed discussions over drinks and delicious vegan finger food on a lovely summer evening. This allowed ample opportunities for participants to meet new people and engage in informal scientific exchanges with like-minded peers.
The venue, Geodätenstand of the TU Berlin, a historic geodetic measurement laboratory built in 1953, added to the charming ambiance of the meeting. We were happy to welcome early career scientists from our network and from around the world. They formed a diverse group representing various research fields of the Earth sciences, such as geophysics, oceanography, and related disciplines.
